Interview Day Information Your interview day at Baystate Medical Center will begin at 7:15 a.m. with a Welcome and Introduction to the Program by the Program Director and Associate Program Director in the Surgical Conference Room, S3619 (Wayfinder Map). In the conference room there will be a light breakfast available for you at 7:00 a.m.
The interview sessions will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude around 12:00 p.m. with lunch immediately after. After lunch there will be a tour of the facility, including the Simulation Center which houses the Goldberg Surgical Skills Lab where the most advanced & innovative teaching techniques and simulation technology are applied to the teaching of Medicine. In addition, you will be provided with a brief opportunity to experience some of the interactive simulation-based training that our residents participate in on a daily basis. You will be spending time with current residents as well as faculty members. Please be prepared with questions for both residents and faculty. Your day will conclude no later than by 2:30 p.m. An itinerary will be provided upon your arrival. If driving, on-site parking is available free of charge. Please park in the Daly Visitor’s open lot across from the entrance to the Daly Building. If taking a taxi, the drop-off location is the entrance to the Daly Building. Pre-Interview DinnerOur residents host a gathering the night before each interview at a local restaurant, this week it will be at Theodores BBQ located at 201 Worthington Street, Springfield, MA 01103 at 7:00 p.m. This will be a time to relax, have some good food and chat with our residents to learn more about our program. There is no dress code at this location, casual attire is appropriate.
